Since we first open Highlander at Clarke Quay in 2006, our hospitality and authentic identity has left many remarkable memories on our guests. With the opening of our second outlet at the award-winning cultural heritage award conservation area, CHIJMES, we hope to extend our hospitality to a broader audience in Singapore. Highlander is not just another pub in town, but an expression of pride in the Scottish heritage and passion in the bar and restaurant industry.
Aside from savouring authentic Scottish dishes and a variety of whiskies, guests can also enjoy a treat of great Scotland music and being served by scandalously kilt-dressed service team! Clients can also wear kilts if they wish to get into the swig of things. In Highlander Bar & Restaurant, the service team is called “Clan” and each staff is a “Clan member.” This is to show the rich Scottish heritage wherein a Clan is synonymous to a generation of family. Usually, members of a clan are determined by the art and style of the kilts they wear, another Scottish heritage which can be experienced in Highlander.
Indoor area is curated with modern industrial look with metal elements combined with refined brown leather and finer finishing touches. The designed team worked together with Highlander management team who has over 40 years of experience combined in food & beverage industry to create a better bar-ing experience for the guests. The stage area is carefully positioned to elevate the visibility of the performers to audience from any point of seating within the indoor area. A dedicated VIP area is set-aside for private parties, events and is the best seat in the house to experience the premier live music performances. The alfresco area holds 60seats alone where guests can chill in comfortable outdoor seating with tailor made tables under the stars while savouring Scottish dishes surrounded by greeneries and vintage street city lights.
The people behind Highlander management had previously run the legendary China Jumps at Chijmes and are back to present you parties like it was 1996!
